Grinding Handicrafts Skill using alcohol

This might not the best way, but side effect of this way, you will grind your alcohol trade and luxury trade too (alcohol and luxury is good for Nanban trade isn't it).

Skills you need:

  • Handicrafts
  • Luxury Trade
  • Alcohol Trade
  • Foodstuff Trade (additional, only good for start)
  • Collection

I normally skip rank 1, and use Shipwright Saw for the Handicrafts +1.

  • Complete Seasoning Booklet (Palma - item shop)
  • Brewery Secret V2 (Havana, invest 800.000) 
  • Shipwright Basic - Crafts Book (Antwerp, Groningen, Plymouth, Porto, Barcelona, Genoa, Pisa, Syracuse - item shop)
  • Craftsman Training Book (Candia, invest 300.000)
  • Expert Craftsman Training Book (Jaffa, invest 300.000)
  • Historical Crafts Guide (Cairo, invest 400.000)
  • Jewellery Cut - Red Book (Diu, Ceylon, invest 2.000.000)
  • Jewellery Cut - Yellow Book (Riga, Danzig, invest 2.000.000)

Rank 2 (Palma - Valencia)
- Olives > Olives oil (Complete Seasoning Book)
- Wheat > Beer (Brewery Secret)

Rank 3 (Palma - Valencia)
- Wheat > Akvavit (Brewery Secret) u got fame by selling this in Palma or Valencia
- Raisin > Wine (Brewery Secret)
- Almond > Almond Oil (Complete Seasoning Book)

Rank 4 - 6 (Bordeaux)
- Raisin > Wine > Brandy (Brewery Secret)

Rank 7 (Bordeaux)
- Raisin > Wine (Brewery Secret)
- Wine > Wine Vinegar (Complete Seasoning Book)

Rank 8-14 (Bordeaux)
- Wine > Brandy (Brewery Secret)
- Brandy + Raisin > Sherry (Brewery Secret V2)

If you have reached R14, or R13+1, R12+2, or even R11+3, time to move to landing point north of Bergen. Don't forget to bring collection booster with you, you will need R4 collection to start.
Once you reach this landing point, move forward until you see big white rock, start collecting there.
